Dr. Muluya Mwebaza Kharim, President of the Rotary Club of Iganga, is a dedicated public health expert specializing in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH). With a PhD in Public Health from Kenyatta University and extensive experience in health services management, he mentors health workers, conducts research, and develops health curricula. Passionate about improving healthcare access, he actively engages in community education and advocacy. His leadership in Rotary emphasizes impactful service, fostering sustainable health and environmental initiatives. Dr. Kharim’s commitment to knowledge-sharing and community development continues to transform lives and strengthen healthcare systems in Uganda.

Kassim Ssimbwa

Ssimbwa Kassim is an entrepreneur passionate about specialized health services extending to rural Africa and is a founding member and Director of Imperial Hospital. In his current, he has seen the facility grow since 2021 from a general practice center to serving five specialized clinics ranging from Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopedic, Pediatrics, Dental and Physiotherapy and general surgery.

Mercy Miriam Namalikye

Club Admin

Mercy Miriam Namalikye, born on August 17, is a professional secondary school teacher of English and Literature. She is also a passionate social worker, dedicating her time as a volunteer administrator with the Iganga University Students Youth Association (IUSYA), where she supports and mentors young people in their academic and personal development.

She joined the Rotary Club of Iganga in 2022, sponsored by Rtn. Harriet Bazira Kwebwawera. Since becoming a Rotarian, Mercy has taken on various leadership roles with commitment and purpose. She has served as Sergeant-at-Arms, Youth Director, Rotaract Advisor to the Prime Vocational Institute Rotaract Club, Assistant Treasurer, and currently serves as the Club Administrator.

In her current role, she plays a vital part in ensuring the club’s activities run smoothly, fostering coordination, maintaining records, and supporting the overall functioning of the club. Her dedication to service and attention to detail have made her a valued member of the club’s leadership.
