Dr. Muluya Mwebaza Karim

Club President

It is both an honor and a calling to serve as President of the Rotary Club of Iganga for the year 2025–2026. With the Rotary International theme “Unite for Good”, we are invited to embrace the spirit of collective impact—bringing together our diverse skills, resources, and compassion to serve humanity.

My professional journey as a public health specialist and educator has taught me that meaningful change happens when we combine evidence with empathy, and leadership with listening. This Rotary year, I envision a club that not only initiates projects but inspires transformation—within individuals, institutions, and entire communities.

We will prioritize initiatives in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH), champion education and youth mentorship, and strengthen systems for community resilience. Our focus will be data-informed and people-driven, ensuring that every intervention responds to real needs and delivers measurable impact.

But none of this can be achieved in isolation. Our strength as Rotarians lies in our shared values, our networks, and our ability to collaborate across sectors. Whether through supporting local health campaigns, empowering students, or driving innovation at the grassroots, we will remain guided by our unwavering commitment to Service Above Self.

Let us use this year to unite—not just as a club, but as a catalyst for good in Busoga and beyond. Together, we will serve, we will elevate, and we will leave no one behind.

Yours in Rotary,
Dr. Muluya Mwebaza Karim
President, Rotary Club of Iganga
