In a quiet conference room at Ntinda Valley Resort Hotel, the Rotary Club of Iganga gathered for what may become one of its most defining meetings of the year. On Thursday, club members met to reflect, strategize, and shape a clear roadmap for the year ahead, anchored by Rotary International’s 2025–2026 theme, “Unite for Good.”

The session was more than just a planning meeting, it was a reaffirmation of the club’s purpose and potential. Members revisited the Rotary vision of advancing world understanding, goodwill, and peace. But they also took a hard, honest look at where the club stands now, and where it wants to go.

The group conducted a full SWOT analysis, assessing the club’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. From this discussion came powerful ideas aimed at boosting membership growth, enhancing visibility, and deepening the club’s impact in local communities.

“This wasn’t just about goals on paper,” said one member. “It was about aligning ourselves with purpose and positioning the club to serve better.”

The conversation was driven by a shared belief that Rotary’s strength lies in its people, and that people working together, with clear direction, can accomplish extraordinary things. The club identified key strategies to improve its public image, engage youth and professionals, and partner more effectively with local organizations. Plans to strengthen internal leadership, mentorship, and communication were also emphasized.

Rotary International’s 2025–2026 theme, “Unite for Good,” gave the meeting its emotional center. In a world increasingly divided, the Rotary Club of Iganga is choosing unity—through action, service, and shared humanity.

As the new Rotary year approaches, the strategic plan created during this session will serve as a guiding framework. It’s a declaration that Iganga is not just participating in Rotary’s global movement, it is helping shape it from the grassroots.
